Should I use an Instagram growth service?

Uncategorized Feb 08, 2019

The idea of using an Instagram Growth Service sounds appealing.

Wouldn't it be great if you could put your Instagram on auto pilot and wake up to hundreds of new followers every morning?

But there are many risks involved with this method of Instagram growth.

When you sign up to this type of service, you usually have to hand over your Instagram log in details - and you don't need to be told why handing over your password to a third party isn't a good idea.

Plus it's against Instagram's Terms of Service and could even get you kicked off the platform!

When you signed up to Instagram and agreed to their T&Cs, one of the things you agreed to is to:

"Foster meaningful and genuine interactions. Help us stay spam-free by not artificially collecting likes, followers, or shares, posting repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent."

One of the ways Instagram growth services build your following is by using automated bots which like, follow, comment and even DM on your behalf.

Not only is this against the Terms of Use, it's also really annoying. Have you ever posted something serious, emotional or vulnerable and has an instant "great pic👍" comment? - that's come from a bot.

Imagine if your account is spreading those types of comments all over Instagram. It's not going to create meaningful engagement or attract followers who actually care about your brand, and it will probably put your existing audience off.

The pressure to increase your following is understandable - for influencers, brands will usually look at your audience size when deciding whether to partner with you, and for businesses it often feels like more followers will lead to more sales.

But that's not necessarily true.

Using bots can attract a lot of fake accounts and won't bring you the authentic connection you need to achieve your Instagram goals.

Building a genuine, engaged audience takes time, but it's worth it.

Instagram is cracking down on bots and accounts that buy followers. It's not all about the numbers any more. Instead, focus on building genuine engagement with your community - whether thats 10, 100 or 100,000 followers.

If you put in the time and focus on growing strong connections, you can get conversions and sales from even the smallest audience. And if you want faster results, get strategic about your growth and be prepared to put a budget on ads to do it authentically.
